Estate Lindholm

We are going to St. John in March and will be staying at Estate Lindholm. Has anyone ever stayed there?

It sits just out of town up on a hill. Interesting architecture with very beautiful views. Owners are a wonderful family that go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. And a great restaurant Asloare is right next door. Rooms look just like they do on the website www.estatelindholm.com-----make sure they tell you how to get to the "secret" beach. Enjoy !!!

Unfortunately a few of their rooms were recently broken into and guests were robbed of personal belongings. I read about it on caribbean-on-line.com. Waves of break-ins have been occurring in certain parts of St. John recently and police are trying to get it under control.

Debbie ~
I don't know where you got your information from but it is patently untrue. There has never been a crime incident or breakin at Estate Lindholm.
Try getting your "information" right before blabbing off your mouth. You just may be sued for slander.

I also have heard numerous accounts of break-ins on St. John, including Estate Lindholm. Fortunately none of the guests were harmed, at least in the account that I read. To stem the rising tide of break-ins that are plaguing a once sleepy island, many villas have been installing safes to better protect guests valuables like the Westin does. Rumor has it that the perps are coming from St. Thomas, but due to limited resources the local police are spread so thin that villa owners are forced to take matters into their own hands by installing safes and security systems. Although the thefts continue to be a problem, St. John remains virtually free of the violent crime that has infiltrated St. Thomas. Just keep an eye on your valuables at all times, especially at the beach! St. John is still paradise, even with a few highly publicized break-ins here and there!
