Eleuthera or Turks & Caicos

We are trying to decide between a week on Eleuthera (near Rainbow Beach) or Turks & Caicos (Taylor Bay/Chalk Sound) in July. Any suggestions?

Rent a home on Eleu. Rainbow is ok but better beaches 2 the south. We also will be there in July. Bring lots of sunscreen. Try Bahama Home Rentals lots of homes. Rainbow Bay has 4 or 5 little beaches. A car is a must.

Thanks Conch. Which beach areas would you recommend to the south?

Love them both.
Tell us a little more of what you're looking for to help you.
Both have gorgeous beaches.
T&C is a lot more built up, but a lot smaller in size. Restuarants are better in T&C. Eleuthera is very long, so big distances between places. Eleuthera is very laid back and quiet when compare to T&C. (T&C is laid back compared to other Caribbean islands, it's touristy compared to Eleuthera.)
From Eleuthera you can day trip to Harbour Island, which is spectacular.
From T&C, you can day trip to your own secluded beach which is spectacular.
Both have the most gorgeous water you've ever seen!

In Eleu the beaches of Ten Bay and Winding Bay are spectacular. Gin like calm waters safe 4 children. Palmetto Point is an area of fine beaches and lots of rental homes 2 choose from. A must is avisit 2 Club Med beach. Check out www.eleu.net lots of info
