Looking for a super relaxation adults only all inclusive for myself and my husband. He has been getting treatment for cancer and is now in remission so we would like to have a week of sun and sand without the daily worries. I have looked at Mexico but ruled it out as he has a suppressed immune system.
I also can not break the bank especially during these times, but want him to have something memorable.
I am thinking of DR or some other island. Also looking for nonstop flights from NY area which also seems to be difficult . Any suggestions???

With a suppressed immune system DR might not be the best choice as you often hear of people getting sick from the food etc. We didn't and we love the DR, but in your case I thought I should mention it.

I agree...I would feel better in Mexico with a supresses immune system than in the DR.
If you are worred about his immune system, I would stick to places like Aruba and Grand Cayman or Bermuda.

If you are opposed to Mexico and Jamaica because of the immune system problems, most other islands have the same issues.
You are less likely to be exposed to whatever it is that is concerning you on the islands I mentioned above.
