Hi. My name is Ashley. Me and my family got back from Mexico about 15 hours ago. We stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar. My sister and her fiance was getting married there. I was the Maid Of Honour. There are two choices of where you would like to get married. Either in a Garden Gazebo or the beach. We did the Garden Gazebo. I would recommend the Garden Gazebo because there won't be a whole crowd of strangers watching the wedding. And there won't be any topless or speedos in your pictures. They also videotape the wedding, and i think it is 250 pesos for the video and for the pictures from the photograper i think it is 500 pesos. Or maybe i mixed the prices up. The photographer takes absolutly breath-taking beautiful pictures. Plus, the food at the resort is great, and the entertainment is great. There are many things to do on the resort. If you need some more information about the Iberostar resorts, just go onto:

But once you leave that resort, you just want to cry. It was beautiful and i recommend it 100%

I was married last October at Sandals Antigua. They did a wonderful job with the ceremony and the pictures turned out perfect. There are 3 options - garden gazebo, beach gazebo, or actually on the beach. We chose the beach gazebo and the pictures turned out perfect. The resort has a real laid back/romantic feel to it and was great for a honeymoon. Any questions, please ask!

Kris: Congrats to both you and your friend. I got married in June '03 at Long Bay Hotel in Antigua. We had about 40 friends and family members with us, so we definitely had to think in the more "Affordable" category than the previous two posters (Sandals Antigua and Peter Island). We had over a dozen kids with us, too, so we needed a place where the parents would feel comfortable letting the kids go all around the property by themselves during the day. Long Bay is beautifully situated between the Caribbean on one side, with a lovely white sand beach, and a calm lagoon on the other side that empties into the Atlantic, so water sports were great at the property. The folks there took great care of us, and what's more, the owner made us an offer we couldn't refuse. Long Bay has some great reviews on wheretostay.com and tripadvisor.com. At the end of our long weekend there, we felt as if we were leaving behind dear friends. If you'd like more details, please email me directly at [email protected]
