Depends where you fly from. There are several charters that go regularly for very little from Minneapolis, St. Louis, Dallas. Here in Ohio, we fly commercial airline sales - $325RT is very good. The aforementioned charters can get as low as $99RT.

Try: Apple vacations, MLT Vacations, Funjet, Sunsplash.
<BR Liz

Check out a website at www.geocities.com/travellynx and do a search from all their air travel links.
If you can't find a low fare using all of those links- there isn't one. Check it out.

I'm looking for December and not finding anything right now. It's probably too early. Our only choices for airlines is AA or Continential and I couldn't find any Continential flights for December posted yet.

I have used Orbitz and Travelocity in the past for Mexico. Orbitz has various promo codes that can used on their website at:

http://www.retailmenot.com/view/orbitz.com

I have used before with success. Also look at Cheapcaribbean.com and Beachdestinations.com

I got a decent fare Seattle thru Atlanta to MoBay on Delta, booked directly with Delta, but that was in July so off-season for island travel.

Where are you starting out? And what do you consider "cheap"?

When are you going?

When we went the first week of Dec in 2006 to Negril, we got the RIU Tropical Bay for 4 nights with air for 2 people for $1,800.

We are looking at 5 nights at the Jewel Dunn's River in Ocho Rios for the first week of December this year and right now it's coming in at $3,000 on American. I'm not spending that much money. I booked about October in 2006, so depending on when you are going, you might have to wait and just continue to check fares.

Ryan was looking for cheap tickets in 2000. I'm guessing he's already made the trip! A brand new poster resurrected this old post to tout his web site. (It might actually be a good web site, but still....)

KVR, I used tripguy.com to book our trip to Iberostar Grand Rose Hall in March. They offered the best rates I could find and I had a good experience with them. The location of our room couldn't have been better and my rep (Mark) e-mailed me several times during the trip making sure everything was okay. I'll definitely use them again. They provided much better service than a Virtuoso agent I've used a couple of times.

Hi KVR

usually find my best values on Spirit.com

FLL MoBay booking out for early Dec currently

around $200 all in usually cheaper for me with

their $9 fare club and CC.

Upgrade to first class for $25-50 awesome value

Still cheaper than the econos

Free flights off peak with CC miles from 5000 points

got RT FREE to SA with them last fall

Best deals in the sky for me they are an econo

so EVERYTHING is extra just decline and pack light

with a bag you can slide under the seat in front of you

Even the overheads cost on them but great savings

on Airbuses new with leather seats.

Happy Hunting,

Spirit doesn't cover my departure area. We have a very small airport with 5 gates and I can only fly American, Continental or Southwest. Southwest doesn't fly outside of the US and my preference is Continental over American.

Sharona, I checked out your site and it's still $3,000. Looks like I'm going to have to wait until it gets closer and see if I can find something better. This is why we keep going to Mexico. More hotel choices and much better varied prices.
