Thanks all, for the info
now I need to decide if I want to take a day away from our 3 day stay at CGB to do this....I an anxious for some great snorkeling, everything since STJ has been a little less than thrilling!!

Our fav place to snorkel is near the Cayman Kai area of GC so it has spoiled us for snorkeling at other islands. There is good snorkeling at Loblolly Bay -- a nice little coral area there. Greater than other parts of BVI? - not sure. But then again, I compare everything to GC.
We stayed on Anegada for 5 days and had a blast. It is a very unique little island and we just loved it. We had stories to tell our friends that you would not experience at other islands.
Use up one day to go?? Hmmm, guess it depends on how long the boat trip is to get there. My vote would be "yes" but I would hate for you to be disappointed. Look at the posts for Anegada here and at Tripadvisor.com then decide.

mahobaygirl: Only 3 days? Oh dear! I am still hoping to get to Anegada within the next 2 years. IMO, I'd take the chance to go even for a day. But as in STJ, the locals are the ones who can tell you where to spend the best snorkeling time. I have heard the same thing about Loblolly Bay as a great spot. As it is surrounded by a horseshoe shaped reef, there should be many fantastic places to snorkel. It's a funny thing, even though my DH and I both have our scuba licenses, we now prefer snorkeling because it is so accessible. We're also comfortable snorkeling in 30+ depths so we haven't been able to drag our butts back onto a dive boat. If you go, you must give us a blow by blow account. Anegada seems to be one of the last magic places.
