HEARD SOME GOOD THINGS ABOUT FERRY RIDE TO ISLA DE LA MUJARES FOR A DAY TRIP WHILE IN CAN CANCUN, ANY THOUGHTS?, ANY FUN?

The trip is OK, you can go snorkeling which is pretty good. You pretty much have the day to yourself to do whatever you want. They do provide lunch which we ate, however, we all got sick from it. Isla Mujeres is more laid back than the Cancun area. We also took a "Booze Cruise" to the island one evening, leaving from Senor Frogs. We didn't have too much fun on this, it was mostly older people and not much of a "Booze Cruise", more of a "Leisurely Sunday Afternoon Drive".

Did it several years ago. We took the ferry that all the locals use. It only cost $1. We then rented a moped. IT was worth the time.

The trip to the island was a great experience for us. We took the ferry and then rented a golf cart. You can go all over the island with a Corona in hand. We ate at a place in town called the Red Eye Cafe. It was great. Owned by a Canadian couple. Very friendly and full of information for us. If you try this, hope you have as much fun as we had.

Do the Dolphin Discovery Experience - it is really an awesome adventure - you're in natural habitat with 4 dolphins and each person does 4 tricks. The whole thing is videotaped for you to buy. Do it!
