Go to Baby Beach for an experience. Colorful buildings, great beach, can get away by yourselves. I think it's about 1/2 hour by cab, or go to hotel row (10-15 minutes from downtown by cab)for a more commercial flavor. Water sports, bars, restaurants, etc.

Palm beach is also very nice and there is a popular snorkeling site there, the wreck of a German WW II freighter, the Antilla. In Aruba good day is "bon dia" BTW. I'm sure you will enjoy it. You may also want to consider seeing the natural bridge. Cheers, Larry.

Hi~I'm assuming you're off a cruise ship for the day. We did the same thing last Aug & it was the highlight of the cruise. After lots of research, we rented a car right at the pier, which I would definitely recommend, $95.00 for the day, however I heard many people only paid $65. Baby Beach was our first stop, we had hoped to snorkle there. It is very pretty, however, for some reason, I didn't feel very comfortable there. To snorkel you have to swim out to the bay & it was quite choppy the day we were there & I'm a pretty good swimmer. Also there is not much out there at all, just a small snack bar & a few shelters of some sort. Many local people go there. It would not be my first choice again. We did stop at Charlies Bar since it was out that way, interesting. I wouldn't miss the Natural Bridge, outstanding views on the way out there. We hit Palm Beach for a couple hours, casino at Hyatt was fun. If I had it to do again I think I would go to Eagle Beach first. We spent the evening at the Crystal Casino & walking downtown. Our stay was from 7:00-11:00. We quite easily saw a good portion of the island, with the exception of going out to the California Lighthouse.
Hope this helps & have a great day!
