Current status of Grand Caymen/Georgetown
Looking at cruises for Feb. 07 which include port in Georgetown. Husband is worried that there is significant hurricane damage and is particularly worried that a particular scuba operator seems to be out of business. He attributes the latter to hurricane damage. (Only way to drag him on cruise and away fromwork is to promise him he can scuba dive).
Have read several posts post-hurricane here that seem to say damage is not an issue, but I told him I would ask anyway. Thanks.

Tell him not to worry. You'll not see any hurricane damage in Georgetown (or the majority of the island for that matter). One particular dive operator may not be in business but there are many others to choose from. Tell him "no worries" and enjoy yourselves.

Georgetown is fine. The hurricane damage is noticeable on the southern/western coast of the island and you wouldn't end up there on a cruise. The only thing you might see in Georgetown are trees with brackets on them (so their roots can strengthen once again). Enjoy your trip.
