Going for the first time, leaving on Mar.28. We'd like some info or opinions or any little tidbits that could make our vacation more enjoyable. We've never been to Jamaica, but are looking soooo forward to it. We'd appreciate any advice. thanks.

When you return I would love to find out your opinion of the resort, food, location, beach, amenities, etc. Also, how were the tours if you go on any of them. I am planning to go to Jamaica in a couple of months and was thinking about this hotel.

Bring aqua shoes for Dunn's River Falls climb. You will wade through waist high water. Be prepare to get wet from top to bottom. You could bring a nice camera but most people bring a disposable camera. The guide will take care of your camera and take pictures for you. <BR> <BR>Dress long pants for horseback riding. Bring collar shirts and shoes for La Gourmet, the French restaurant. Jacket is a nice touch but not required. Some people bring bug spay. I don't think it is a must. Bring suntan lotion SPF15 or higher. Try nude sunbathing or swimming on the private island. <BR> <BR>Bring some small bills for tipping the skycap, tour guides, they demand it! Drivers should be tipped too because they are not resort employees. Don't tip the resort employees. They will be fired for accepting money. <BR> <BR>If you want to buy souvenirs, don't take the first asking price.

Hi ther Kris.... I've been to Couples Ocho Rios twice and Couples Negril once. You will NOT be disappointed. From the food to the service (no reservations in ANY of the restaurants at dinner)- - the rooms are really great as they are set up for "two". They have a jungle area with hot tubs for two along the route off in hidden areas. You can even take a bottle of wine with you and two wine glasses!!!!! Also they have the au natural island with it's own swim up pool bar and hot tub and it has a grill for chicken, burgers etc. Anything you need you can get there so if you forget something - no worries. <BR> <BR>I know you'll have an amazing time! <BR> <BR>Enjoy. Hi and thanks for the good info, we are so excited, can't wait to get there. My only other question is about spending money, how much should you take, we are planning on venturing into town a few times and getting a few souveniers. Maybe buy a few bottles on the way home. Anyway, Thanks again. Kris
