It depends on you. Couples Negril is beautiful, the rooms are nice, food was good, it seemed like a very relaxed atmosphere.

Swept Away has no tv's in the rooms, and on the side with the beach is very realaxed and beautiful. Across the road they have a olympic size pool, and a world class fitness centre. They have everything you would want for activities.

Both resorts were awsome

NO TV? Man I could not live without my TV...gotta have it, need it, want it. How can you get along with seeing who the guests are on Jerry Springer? No TV means no stay for me, no way.

Couch Tater,
Luckily there is a TV in the Sports Bar and another upstairs from the Main Resturant near the piano bar. They have recently added CD Players in the rooms.

I am also planning a vacation to couples for a 10 year anniversary. I first decided on Couples Negril, but because I have a serious aversion to bugs in my room (and those noseeums that come out at night on the beach and bite you), I'm leaning toward swept away. We are a young couple and will probably rent a car to do some night time fun. Also we are bringing our DVD player. Any thoughts as to a great 5 to 6 star that is not all inclusive. (I really love traditional jamaican food and would love to get it all week. Not some americanized version at an AI)

This reply is for Adele. We are looking at Couples Negril and Swept Away as well. We had about made up our mind on Couples Negril till I read your post about the bugs - do they have a big problem? We are going in March and I know the weather will be perfect (we hope). How did you hear of the bug problem or have you experienced it yourself? I hate bugs and the noseeums on the beach as well. Please reply!! Good Luck Richard - we are having trouble making our mind up too!!

Amy:
We did not have bugs in our rooms. However, by the end of the week, I had several bites on my legs from "noseeums" of some sort.
