10 days and counting.. Anyone been there in the last week or so. Im looking for any new info. Good or Bad.

Just got back on the 5th - lots of changes with the public transport system, someone new in charge, not all the changes are viewed as positive, but they were trying to get the kinks ironed out. Enjoy the trip!

The bus and ferry "situtation" we know about somewhat. Just a matter how it will effect what we end up doing. Good thing is we are staying at Newstead, so we do have their shuttle to use to get to Hamilton.

And the best Friday happy hour!

We are gonna miss the happy hour this year. But im sure we'll survive.

Thanks.. BTW we read that "Primavera" is now called "Flying Fish" and an all seafood place. Any news on that? We already got Barracuda set up and wondered if we should add this too.

I am afraid it has been years since I was in Primavera and I hadn't heard about the new business. Txgirlinbda may be able to advise on that.

I have to say my personal favorite for view and great food is Splendido. I absolutely love stopping there for lunch. The lobster club is God's idea of a sandwich!

I also favor Fourways (splurge), Tucker's Point (ditto), Bleu, and Ascots. You will be spoiled for choice.

I'm pretty sure that Splendido closed in Feb. They were supposed to be moving but Paula at Newstead told me they hadn't reopened yet (that as of last month). We did go there last year got real good pictures too. Went to Blu as well. I figure we'll have the 2 biggies with Barracuda and Flying Fish. One day we do have to go to OUTBACK so I can watch the Yankees beat the Redsox. So we've got 3 nites taken care of. We'll just make up the rest as we go along.

I found an article in the Bermuda Sun that Splendido had closed. The owner is said to be looking for a new site. While it is hard to imagine one with the view of the old location, I sure hate to think of that lobster club disappearing!
