Club Med in Caribbean?

Has anyone stayed at these resorts? My boyfriend and I are in our mid-twenties and pretty active so we though there'd be a lot to do. I saw that their rates are dropping next month so it appears affordable. Would love to hear feedback!
Otherwise, any reasonably priced suggestions for peaceful sun, sand, snorkeling and maybe some tennis? We're open to anywhere in the Caribbean besides Jamaica & DR (due to crime). Thanks!

I stayed at Club Med T&C about 4 years ago and loved it. This one has the trapeze and interested guests can give it a try. (Supervised and with a harness). They offer day and 1/2 day trips to scuba or snorkle. The food was decent. You can make reservations for the separate restaurant if you wish...a bit more upscale and private. It was included in the price. We had a wonderful room with views of the water. The beach had fine white sand and water was turkquoise...just lovely. You can do as much or little as you like. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Thanks for your feedback. I'll definitely look into it further! Are there add'l charges that they don't mention on the website (or that can only be found in the fine print)?

We've stayed at Club Med on Guadeloupe and thought it was pretty nice. You can get rooms with head on view of the ocean + nice beach.

When I was there beer and wine was included but not mixed drinks. Many guests brought their own alcohol. The day and 1/2 day trips had a fee but it was reasonable. There are lots of planned activities for daytime and evening but again you can do as much or little as you wish. There was also a club for music and dancing.

Was in Club Med Guadeloupe last week. Beach is fantastic as is food. Snorkeling doesn't exist on Atlantic side, but you can take a day trip to an island which does have moderate snorkeling. If you are big on snorkeling and want a resort, consider Little Dix or Bitter End on Virgin Gorda. We have returned to VG for 8 yrs.as snorkeling is terrific and no crowds.
