They have a flight out of Nassau at 11:40am back home but the flight in from Cat Island does not arrive until 10:05am.
Is that connection too close??

That will probably work if you are flying Bahamas Air and the plane is anywhere near ontime.

Your flight from Cat Island to Nassau will NOT include US pre-clearance. You will need to go thru security, customs (with your luggage) and US immigration lines in Nassau. This can take several hours depending on the time and day. Sometimes up to 3 hours. Never less than 1.5 hours.

You won't make your flight.

Definitely not enough time as mentioned by a PP. You should change it. Nassau airport is a NIGHTMARE basically as far as airports go, and you could wait in line for 3 hours...the recommended check in time for American Airlines is 180 minutes, although I have done that and still almost missed my flight. GL
