Just back from my first trip to Grand Cayman. I loved it. Unfortunately, the weather was not the greatest -- windy, cloudy and water VERY choppy. But at least I didn't get sunburned. We stayed at the Marriott Beach Resort which is a lovely hotel but the beach itself is minimal. The staff are great and the location is good. I highly recommend doing the Stingray City excursion. We went with Capt Marvin and they were great. I was very impressed with the restaurants and the quality of the service. I would highly recommend Calpyso Grill, Deckers, Hammerhead's, Cimboco, and Cafe Havana. Aqua Club and Coconut Joe's are good as well. Any questions -- just ask.

Sorry to tell you this, but the grey weather of the last 3 or 4 days just cleared again... it is GORGEOUS today

thanks for the trip report. I was there over a year ago and miss it! I agree Calypso Grill was fantastic! I had the catch of the day--grilled wahoo. And Cimboco had a really good jerk chicken pizza. Captain Marvin trip was great too! Hope things are somewhat back to "normal" all these many months after the hurricane damage.

I noticed that the weather forcast for Grand Cayman shows rain almost every day next week. We leave Saturday and our family is getting worried...

We were there last May and had a wonderful time!! It was our first trip there and will definately be back. stingray city was AWESOME!!

This year I think we will try Curacao - I like trying new.

We were in Cayman last June and the weather forecast was for rain every day. It did rain every day, but just for about 10 minutes and it was beautiful the rest of the time. Hopefully it will be the same for you!
