Caribbean Kid Resort Help

Please help point me in the right direction!

We are looking for a hotel/resort that is geared towards the kids. We plan on traveling either in October or November next year and are looking for the following:

Great Beach - clean, no peddlers, not too rough
Kid pools - Slides, fountains, etc
Kid clubs - for ages from 5 - 10

We don't need much more than that although a full kitchen in room would be a bonus. The only place that comes to mind is Atlantis and I would like to research more options than that. Any suggestions would be helpful.

If you have seen my other posts - don't get confused - this is an entirely different trip than the one me and the hubby are taking THIS October

Thank you in advance

No questions, Beaches Turks and Caicos.
It's a big place, but clean and fun.

Oops - Should have mentioned Turks & Caicos is out - me and hubby are spending our 10 year anniversary there. Thank you though and I will check it out when we go to Provo this year.

Thanks!

well my 1st suggestion would have been either beaches or atlantis, you should really look into Hyatt Aruba, my kids love this resort and the island of Aruba, it is safe, clean and upscale and the resort is very very nice with a nice pool geared for kids, there is a nice water slide too, great location directly on beautiful palm beach arguably the calmest beach in the caribbean. another choice would be a nice condo on 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman, check out aqua bay, discovery point, plantana or meridien.

PatsFan,

Thanks, I'll check out the Hyatt in Aruba - I was looking into the Marriott Surf in Aruba also.

Hi Jennreyiw,

I will recommend St. John Virgin Islands. You can try the Westin Resort. It fits the description of what you are looking for. It is kid friendly, it has a kids club, a kiddie pool, playground and fun activities that the kids will enjoy. If you are looking for a room with a full kitchen they have private luxury villas available. You can have your own private villa and still enjoy all the amenities of the resort. Me and the kids were there three months ago and stayed in a two bedroom villa. This villa was fully equipped with a kitchen, washer/dryer, balcony, internet access the whole works. I rented the villa from a local company on the island called Om Villas. Their rates were very reasonable. This will be a great vacation spot for you and the family.
The company website is www.omvillasstjohn.com.

I disagree about the Westin St John fitting your needs. Your #1 want was a "Great Beach"....and the man-made beach at the Westin STJ is far from great, it's actually not so nice at all. Don't get me wrong, I love St John, and I'm sure the Westin is okay for many, but be advised that their beach is well below average.

Hyatt in Aruba sounds like a great suggestion......

Thank you for the helpful replies - I'm still trying to figure out how we could swing Atlantis. It really does fit the bill - but WAY out of the price range. Although we are also still checking into a Disney cruise too.

I will look into all the suggestions made so far and if anyone has any more suggestions keep em coming.

Thank you!

You can have Atlantis amenities at reasonable prices if you stay at Comfort Suites, right across the street. It is owned by Atlantis. I agree with the previous posters regarding the beach at the Westin. It isn't the best.
