Warmest weather and warmest ocean temp
We would like to go some place sunny with warm beaches January 2012. We usually travel in May or September, but our 25th anniversary is January 2012 so we are trying tp plan something for then as well.
Any suggestios on islands with nice beaches where the weather is still warm and the water temperature is still warm too? I love the Carribean beaches right before summer because the water is usually between 80 to 84 degrees.

you'll need to head to barbados, st. vincent & grenadines, abc's or trinidad & tobago. or maybe costa rica or panama.
see this chart (since it's jan now it should reflect what you can expect a year from now):

I agree with Virginia. To be absolutely assured of warm weather and water you need to head south. Add St. Lucia to the above list and Martinique and Guadaloupe, too, although there's not a lot of information here on those last two islands.

You want a souther Carib island and a leeward beach warmest.
Aruba might be a nice choice one of my favs great beaches on one of the most southern Caribbean islands, it is closest to the equator and warmer than most. The average monthly high temperature is nearly 89 degrees Fahrenheit and the average monthly low is 78 degrees, water temperature averages 81 degrees during the year and rarely varies more than a few degrees, which makes swimming in the ocean more comfortable during the winter months than northern locations.
Hyatt Regency my fav on Palm/Eagle beach

Might look into that...
