Caneel Bay Pool

Yes, I know it's all about the beaches, lol. But a couple of members of our group prefer to lounge by a pool. Can anyone tell me if Caneel has updated theirs? When we were there in 2004, it wasn't even open.

Thanks!

There's a pool.....it's up by tennis gardens and was open in December. It's small with the same lounge chairs that are on the beach....and in all my years of going to Caneel, I never saw anyone in it!

Thanks for the feedback. We are past the pool issue and on to the humidity issue, lol.

IRabbit, if you have a humidity issue, the rooms at Caneel have both A/C and ceiling fans. IMO the best spot at Caneel for comfort is to stay on Hawksnest Beach which faces east towards the tradewinds and is quite shady in the afternoon when the afternoon sun is beating on the west-facing Scott and Caneel Beaches. The upstairs rooms on Hawksnest have good cross-ventilation with their balconies on the sand and a rear screened balcony overlooking the gardens.

Thanks, xkenx. I'll keep that in mind for next year, possibly. While I was pondering all of this, my FIL went ahead and booked a different location! I would love to stay upstairs at Hawksnest. We thought that looked like a great base when we were there. We stayed on Scott Beach, and I'd do that again, too.
