Don't know about the hotel, but the beach is HUGE and AMAZING! If you can, stay at the Marriott and go to that particular beach during the day!

Karen, I haven't been myself. However, after many hours of on-line research we had narrowed our choice down to Bucuti on Aruba and Bougainvillea on Barbados. Settled on Barbados as getting there is easier, but still intend to go to Bucuti next year. You might want to check out www.caribbeanopinion.com for an excellent review of this hotel. There are also trip reports at www.aruba-bb.com. I didn't come across one bad word about Bucuti while doing my research (or Bougainvillea, for that matter). Have fun.

Linda, stayed at The Bougainvillea this past January and loved it. The property is beautiful. Make sure to take a snorkeling cruise on the Tiani. It was unbelievable swimming with the sea turtles. If you like more info, feel free to email me.

Karen, <BR>We were in Aruba just this past July and enjoyed our week there very <BR>much. We stayed at the Manchebo <BR>Beach resort which is next door to <BR>the Bucuti. I had a chance to get a good look at this resort when we <BR>went over to their restaurant, the <BR>Pirate's Nest for lunch. It is a lovely <BR>resort done in a Mediterranean style <BR>and sits on a gorgeous, huge, white, <BR>sandy beach! The guests there <BR>seem to be well pampered--- the <BR>hotel staff gives each guest a red <BR>flag to use on the beach--- whenever <BR>you are thirsty or hungry, just stick <BR>the flag in the sand and a waiter <BR>will come to take your order! No need to even move! The Pirate's <BR>Nest restaurant is designed to look <BR>like a beached galleon ship--- serves <BR>breakfast, lunch and dinner ala carte <BR>and no buffets except for theme <BR>nights. The food is good--- I had <BR>coconut shrimp and hubby had <BR>garlic shrimp for lunch---very good. <BR>At night, the restaurant looks very <BR>romantic when it is lit up for the <BR>evening--- you can dine inside or <BR>outside on the deck. For more <BR>information, go to their website----- <BR>www.bucuti.com <BR>This resort looks like a really nice <BR>place to stay and the guests seem <BR>to be pleased and happy to be <BR>there! You can find a recent trip <BR>report on the Bucuti at this website: <BR>www.visitaruba.com and click on <BR>"Trip Reports". It's organized by <BR>hotel so just click on the hotels you <BR>are interested in. My trip report on <BR>the Manchebo resort is also there <BR>too. <BR>Ayo, Janice <BR>
