Bucuti Meal Plan
While at Bucuti I can't decide whether or not it is worth it to do their meal plan. Are the votures worth it? Do you really get your money's worth? Are the restaurant on their lists really that good comparatively? Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

We went to Bucuti 2 years in a row - the first year we did their meal plan, the second year we didn't.
We didn't really think it was worth it. In terms of price the difference is negligible, I think. And also, it limited our choices, although on the other hand we did get to eat at some nice places that otherwise we wouldn't have gone. So I would advise against using the meal plan - there are so many great places to eat in Aruba! For instance, I really recommend Madame Janette - best place we ever ate in Aruba.

Don't do a meal plan in Aruba! It has great restaurants all over. You may want to see if you can have a breakfast plan included and then have dinners out. You won't be dissappointed. We went last spring and had a wonderful time! Try aruba-bb.com for more info on Aruba and their activities and restaurants.

We stayed at the Bucuti a few years ago and didn't do the meal plan. There are too many great restaurants to try. Unless you eat a big breakfast, I wouldn't get a breakfast plan. Order off the menu or go to the Dunk n Donuts located within walking distance to the Bucuti. Have a great time. The Bucuti is great!

Ditto what everyone is saying. Don't do meal plan. Rent a car instead and drive all around. Aruba has a good number of excellent restaurants, coffee shops, bagel shops, bbq joints.
Girlonthego has a good idea, try and get a bfast plan and eat your other meals out.
Have fun, Aruba's great!

We stayed at Bucuti September 2004 & loved it. We disagree w/ Capri about the food being bad at Bucuti, at least what we selected as good. We had lunch there everyday & it was good & affordable (chicken sandwiches, BLT's, salads, chicken fingers, etc). It was convenient. We ate dinner there 3 times & the salmon is really good.
We would never do a meal plan for dinners because as everyone else is saying there are too many good restaraunts. Madame Jeanette's & El Gaucho can't be missed. We had reservations at Flying Fishbones but it was cancelled in anticipation of Ivan.
