Anyone attended a Full Moon Party at Bomba's
Shack on Tortola, B.V.I? Will be on Tortola for
the next full moon. I have heard these parties
are not to be missed.

Missed it by a few days when we were there a couple years ago. The "special mushroom tea" (which is legal on the island)is supposed to be a great accompaniment to the loud reggae music and dancing. I gather it goes on well into the a.m.

I had heard that it was not to be missed also but we were there on Tortola during the full moon and after dinner at Sebastian's, next door to the Bamba Shack, we asked around about it and was told that there was alot of weed smoking and so on that went on there so we skipped it.

My wife and I stayed, with our daughter, at Sebastions several years ago. As the other writer said, the Bomba Shack is next door(200feet down the road). It's a ramshackle place, that resembles a big "little rascal's" clubhouse. But, we ate a neat low priced buffet of pigeon peas and rice, chicken, potato salad, and ribs, during the day. Nothing really to write home about, even though
Caribbean Mag. mentions it. It is a good place, like any other wood plank, makeshift bar, just to get plastered in and act like an animal for a night, with noyone to notice, or care. If you go to Tortola rent a 4-wheeled jeep and explore the island...It's beautiful! Bob Morton

I went via ferry from Red Hook 4 years ago & will
never do it again. Left Red Hook around 7 pm;
did not return until 5 am. Ferry crew were the
rudest bunch I'd ever met. Full Moon party is
great is you're 20 something and just want to
party. Other than that, I'd say FORGET IT.
