My fiance and I are dying to get away for four nights and five days in either January or February. We're not typically all-inclusive-type people (we like trying new restaurants, etc.) but we are on a tight budget. Can anyone recommend what they think are the better all-inclusives in Jamaica? I think 3 and 4-star hotels may be in our price range. Also, I'm not that familiar with the island itself - have only been to Ochos Rios, briefly. We'd like a place that has isn't as touristy, has it's own private beach and where we'd be happy just vegging out in the hotel "compound" for the few days we're there. Thoughts? Thanks!

Try any of the Grand Lido Resorts.

My husband and I are going to Couples Negril for 4 nights in late January. Our cost is $2743 out of Newport News, VA. From what you've said, sounds like this resort (or Couples Swept Away, located a bit further down 7 Mile Beach) fit your requirements.

If money is not an object, GL is very nice. I also really like the atmosphere and accomodations at Swept Away.

If money is a consideration, try the resorts of Coral Seas. They have a Beach and a Cliff location. They are small AIs that are quite reasonably priced, clean and dependable.

Jan up to 17 Feb is best travel period
prior to US school vacations. Villa rentals are normally a one week minimum during high season. Would suggest you check the following, many of which, including the posher ones, may be offering special packages for a longweekend/4 night stay:
