Bermuda - Travelers Checks still Accepted?

My wife and I are going to Bermuda (mid-May) and would like to know if travelers checks are still widely accepted or are we better off simply using credit cards? Unless I missed something, Fodor's Bermuda 2012 does seem to mention this, except for hotel payment. We will be there 10 days, 4 in a hotel (Coco Reef or Beach) & 6 in a B&B (Salt Kettle) and plan to dine in a number of rather nice restaurants.

Traveller's Checks are becoming like dinosaurs - extinct. While they are still accepted in some places it's much easier to use credit cards and debit cards as they are accepted almost everywhere.

Thank you - TCs for the B&B, as they do not accept credit cards. The rest, cash and credit cards.

We travel to Bermuda annually staying at Salt Kettle House on our last 14 visits.

We use credit cards for dining, shopping, grocery store, scooter rental, booking excursions (example, snorkeling).
Personal check for Salt Kettle House.
Cash for taxis, miscellaneous.
ATM's are located in Hamilton at various spots. Some give Bermuda $'s and some give USA $'s.

Enjoy beautiful Bermuda.

Traveler's checks are no longer widely accepted. This is not a Bermuda thing. It's just the way it is. If a destination has Amex offices, you can always cash Amex traveler's checks there, but they are just not taken by businesses anymore.

Just got an email from out property management company: "Effective March 1, 2014 Bermuda businesses will no longer accept Traveler’s cheques as a method of payment. Please note that we have been advised that Bermuda Banks will no longer allow anyone to accept these as methods of payment.
This is therefore the same for all shops and businesses on the island."
