Beach Erosion - North SMB ?
I have only been to Grand Cayman once, but I thought that the further north you went on 7 mile beach, the wider the beach got ? Have been reading some posts that indicate otherwise. Can anyone tell me which resorts to stay away from, that have beach erosion ? Coming from up North, all we want is a big sandy beach and calm blue water. Cheers.

Hi. Based on what I saw a few weeks ago when we walked along 7MB, I would steer clear of any North 7MB condos except for Chrisopher Columbus. The best beaches I saw were at Plantana & The Great House (North central), Avalon was good too, the Westin, VOG and as far south as Lacovia. We didn't go much past the Royal Palms but even the beach there is okay.
The winds or something must have shifted this fall as North 7MB looks like it took a beating for the most part.
If you want a resort, the Westin has the best beach. The condo with the best beach seemed to be Plantana.
Stay away from Aqua Bay Club...their beach is one of the worst right now.

We are going Feb. and staying at Villas of Galleon. I just spoke with someone I know personally, and her and her husband (along with another couple) stayed at the Weston. They are older, so there were no kids involved. They absolutely loved it there and raved about how wonderful the beach was.
Villas is right next to the Weston and Plantana close by. (we couldn't get into Plantan, booked up)
