I am Planning a first time trip to Cuba in Feb. During vacation my wife is topless approx 50% of the time dependimg on what other sun seekers do. What % of people are topless on Cuban beaches. What resorts would you recommend. Thanks for your help.

We stayed at the "Beaches" hotel in Varadero last February. There were topless ladies around the pool and on the beach. We walked the length of this stretch of beach and there were topless ladies scattered throughout, young and old. Not a high percentage, maybe 5% or less. It didn't seem to be a big deal, one way or the other.

I stayed in Santa Lucia in Cuba and did go topless. It doesn't happen on public beaches, but most tourist beaches belong to the individual hotels where guests can go topless if they want.

We are just coming from<BR>Varadero, may 2002. We stayed in a small complex "downtown". My wife is French so most of time was topless and wore string at the pool and on the Varadero beach. Of course, there are not a lot but nobody bother you.
