Beach beach for the day on Grand Cayman?
Would like to know the best beach where one can spend a relaxing day, sunning, snorkeling, eating/drinking, away from the cruise crowds (which we are otherwise a part of!). We'll be docked from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a Thursday, and so will likely not be able to make the Rum Point ferry (since Rum Point/Cayman Kai was my first beach choice). Any other suggestions for lesser known beaches that are a cab-ride away, with some creature comforts (bathrooms, nearby bars/restaurants)? Thanks so much.

Tell the cabbie to drop you off at the Governor's House. This a portion of 7 Mile Beach that has pretty good snorkeling. And if you walk a short distance in either direction, you can go to the Westin or Holiday Inn section, where you can get a drink, something to eat and relieve yourself. (bathrooms)
The drinks are cheaper @ Holiday Inn. You won't see the Holiday Inn complex,on the beach, b/c it's across the road from their beach area. But their bar is on the beach.
