Becky,
I'm sure you'll have a blast at the Atlantis in June. When are you planning on going in June? I plan on going with my boyfriend on June 6th, no kids, just the two of us. We've both never been there but are looking forward to it. Even though it does sound like there are tons of kids around the place, I think it'll be easy to find a quiet spot at the beach or on the grounds of the hotel. We're staying at the Coral Towers. Good luck and Congrats on your wedding! If anyone has any suggestions for Romantic, quiet restaurants for dinner, please let me know.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. For those of you encouraging me to change my reservations and go somewhere else - this is not what I was looking for. Way to make a honeymoon exciting We are not fussy travelers. Obviously posting my questions hear was a mistake. Thanks anyway.

Becky,
I stayed at Atlantis a year ago and I must say it was the most beautiful resort I have ever seen. I always opt for the more quaint cultural vacations, so I was leary of vacationing at such a notoriously "commercialized and crowded resort". I wouldn't have traded my trip to Atlantis for anything. If you want to experience some local flavor be sure and go the the straw market (never pay full price!). You should also try to eat out at the restaurant (which I can't remember the name of) that used to be the home of the Bahamian prime minister. Is is beautiful and delicious. Deep sea fishing is also a must! Have fun and don't forget to bring home some rum!!!

Just came back from the Atlantis, was
there June 4-8. Had a great time.
Didn't bother going to the pool, beach was too beautiful. Didn't think it was that expensive, and we didn't have a meal plan. Was surprised at how many families/children were there. Drinking age is 18 so we encountered lots of high schoolers. Not enough night life except for the casino. They could use more beach side bars where you could sit and enjoy the sunset and some reggae/caribbean music. I think it is a good choice and I'm sure you will have a good time. Stayed in the Coral Towers, beach view, and enjoyed it thoroughly. We're planning to go back next year. Have fun!
