Atlantis and dinig elsewhere?
We will be staying at the Atlantis. We have heard about the ridiculous prices for dining. Any suggestions where to go for good food yet somewhat reasonable prices ? Some of the posts suggested not to go to Nassau at night. If we were not with kids my husband and I would go to the main island. However I do not want the kids accousted with buying drugs etc or if there are safety concerns. Any comments are helpful. Thanks

Hello,
In my opinion the restaurants in Atlantis were over priced, not very good, and the service was anywhere from ok to bad. Make reservations at the better restaurants before you get there! When we went in February, we couldn't get in without a reservation. We found a great restaurant off of the Property called "Matise". The food was excellent, moderately priced, and they had a beautiful garden to dine in. Closed on Sundays. We went without our children, and were never approached for drugs. If you still feel uncomfortable, a cab can drop you off in front of the restaurant, and the owner will call you a cab when you are ready to leave. Its approximately a 10 minute drive from Atlantis. Good Luck!

The best resturant we went to near Atlantis was Outback Steak House. The food at Atlantis isn't worth the price, but that was the only resturant I went to that I liked. Anthony's was cheap, but not good. The rest of the places we ate at was in the hotel. All I can say is don't go to Atlantis expecting good food, but expect to have fun on the waterslides with a million others.
