I am not familiar with the rooms at the Radisson, but when I got my diving certification, we used the pool for a refresher course. The hotel looked really nice. The pool is super and the hotel is right on the beach. Sorry I can't tell you more.

My fiance and I stayed at the Aruba Radisson in September 2004. It was absolutely fabulous! We were not on the Concierge Level, but we did have an Ocean View room, which is a must as rooms on the opposite side seemed to look out on a parking lot. My fiance and I travel a lot and have high expectations. The hotel met all of our expectations. The rooms are very chic, clean, and modern. Our corner room afforded us a little extra space from the standard rooms. The layout of the rooms are nice. When you enter, you have the choice of going one way (right or left depending on your room's location) to go toward the bathroom, or making a quick bend (like a small turn) to go towards the bedroom, which is not visible from the door. The bathrooms are done in Italian marble. The bedroom's furnishings are nicely appointed. Our king-size bed was very comfortable. The room's wood shutters offer a nice touch, and the views of the ocean are wondeful, very calming. We spent every day on the beach. Also, Aruba offers lots of great restaurants. We had one of our best meals at the hotel's Sunset Grille. Don't miss this gem (one of the highest rated restaurants in Aruba). Finally, the hotel's service was exemplary. Usually, we take short weekend trips and were initially concerned because we booked five days for this trip. It turned out to not be nearly enough time. We can't wait to go back to Aruba and will definitely stay at the Radisson again.

I forgot to add that you should be sure to stay in the Aruba Tower. It's the most recently updated and also the most convenient--the hotel's entrance, lobby, concierge, gym, gift stores, casino, etc. are all located in this tower.

ekeley,

Is there alot of room on the beach at the Raddison and enough beach chairs/umbrellas? We have heard stories of guests having to get up early at the high rise hotels and "claim" a chair. We are thinking of Bucuti, but the Raddison looks wonderful! Thank you!

Janie--
The beach area is large at the Radisson and there are a lot of chairs. They also have the palapas (the wood/thatch umbrellas), but there are not enough for everyone who wants them, although they do have more than the other hotels in the area). We are fairly early risers, and were always able to get one. You get the huts by signing up at the towel hut. We were down early every day, and some huts were taken, but even people who came after us were able to get one. You don't have to be out there by 7, but certainly if you come late, say after 10 or 11, you probably won't get one, depending on the day. Also, people come and go, so sometimes they free up during the day. You'll always be able to get a chair, however. You'll love the Radisson, we had a great time there, the beach is wonderful.
