Advice on Hotel in Aruba
My family and I are planning a trip to Aruba in April or May 2003. We would like to stay at a nice hotel right on the beach. I just don't want to be dissapointed by the appearance of the room when we arrive. Any advice on really nice hotels(rooms are big, clean, and relativly new). Please help...

Connie

Hi Connie. I was in Aruba about a month ago and highly recommend the Radisson. They recently completed major renocvations there and it is beautiful!

Best Beach I saw, beautifully landscaped grounds...parrots, waterfalls, flowers. I also really like the rooms...very tastefully decorated (not your standard hotel room)and very clean. And the staff was extremely helpful and accomodating.

Have lunch at Gilligan's (right on the edge of the beach). Their pina coladas are the best!

Just got back from Aruba and stayed at the Marriott for the first time. We had a deluxe oceanview room with a king size bed. The room was large, clean,in good condition, and the service was good. Have also stayed at the Radisson, the rooms were smaller, but also highly recommneded.

Do you know if the Radison offers larger rooms? We would like an ocean front suite. We have two children ages 10 and 14 and would like to have a larger room. I would also like to have a newer room with a lot of appointments. I realize this will cost a bit more but I feel that it's worth it. I just don't want to be dissapointed with the hotel when we arrive. This has happened before and boy what a let down. The hotels appear to be soooo nice in pictures and descriptions. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!
Connie

The Radisson does have large rooms and I would recommend and oceanview or oceanfront room/suite. Check out their website or call the hotel. I guarantee you will not be diappointed by the rooms. Thay have all been totally renovated and look brand new.
