Which beach is better? Palm Beach or Eagle Beach? Which beach has the best resorts?

Palm & Eagle Beach are really the same beach, so in terms of sand and ocean, they're identical.

Very different personalities, however.

Eagle Beach is very wide and, compared to Palm, secluded. The "low-rise" resorts such as the Bucuti are located on Eagle Beach.

Palm Beach has all the high-rise resorts (Radisson, Hyatt, Marriott, etc), so it's very busy with activity and people. Because the resorts sit closer to the ocean, the sand is narrower but still plenty wide.

You should choose depending on what kind of vacation you prefer.

There is a clear delineation between the two beaches - a beachless area north of La Cabana and south of the Wyndham.

I second Ted's comments. One other point: the waves are slightly bigger on Eagle Beach than on Palm.

The large resorts with casinos, multiple restaurants, etc. are on Palm Beach. We prefer Eagle - fewer people, wider beach, quieter. The Bucuti is arguably the best choice on Eagle Beach. I would not recommend La Cabana unless you're traveling with children.

On Palm Beach, the Hyatt, Radisson and Marriott get the highest ratings, and the Wyndham is an excellent hotel for somewhat less money.

Marriott does not get a high rating! The place needs a major reno. We stayed there over Christmas & found it to be about a 3 star. Definitely not in the same category as Hyatt & Radisson.Pool is small relative to size of hotel so very very crowded ( Yeah, I know.... "It was Christmas so what do you expect Susan????" The point is that the pool is too small for the size of the hotel!)But the beach,Palm Beach, is great. So, if you want "high rise/casino" go w/ Palm Beach.

Eagle Beach by far !
But I wouldn't say the Bucuti is the best choice..I much rather prefer Costa Linda (it's a timeshare so it can be expensive, but great service and beautiful four star property)undoubtedly the best beachfront property in Aruba..their beach is better than any other in the island !!
To clarify a point re: the Marriott

The Marriott Ocean Club is in no way a 3* - the Marriott Resort maybe - but not the Ocean Club. The Ocean Club is a suite-only resort that is only a few years old and is gorgeous, clean and the staff wonderful. Can't comment on the resort - only used the pool once and ate at the beach restaurant for lunch several days. Both resorts are side by side on Palm Beach which I prefer over Eagle Beach because it's busier and there's more to do on it.

I recommend Palm Beach. The hotels are nicer, and there are more water sports. Marriott does need renovating, but the Hyatt is the best hotel on the island.
