If I had to choose from these two I would stay at the Hyatt !!! It's beautifull and they have a great casino..it's downright heavenly...they have a restaurant in front of the beach which is the most beautiful and original I've ever seen..From what I know they have spent a fortune remodeling it a year ago and it was worth the money!! The beach is nice but not the nicest in the island..if you want a great resort with the most beautiful and widest beach in the caribbean you have to check out Costa Linda Resort. The beach is 1 block wide..(the hyatt's is about 20 meters wide)It's a five star and well worth every star but it's not as luxurious as the Hyatt. One more thing..at the hyatt the size of the beach makes it feel crowded..at Costa Linda you don't even hear the sound of other people speaking nearby..
Try this website:
www.arubabound.com
This trip report is excellently
written by a very pleased guest with
lots of pictures of the Radisson!
It should be noted that the Hyatt does
not have real balconies-- just French
balconies that you can only step out.
The Radisson have very nice balconies
that you can sit out on and enjoy an
evening glass of wine or breakfast in
the morning!
JanGail

Had trouble posting yesterday and as seen, got disgusted, anyway...

My husband and I have been to Aruba 6 times and have stayed at both the Hyatt and Radisson. We stayed at the Radisson in September and returned again in March. Right there I guess that tells you that it is our favorite.

There is a large waterfall as you enter the drive up to the lobby. Their 50 million-dollar plus investment is very evident. The grounds cover about 14 acres-large- with a very long stretch of beach. There are also waterfalls cascading down from the base of the Aruba Tower. The landscaping is beautiful with loads of flowering plants and palm trees. There is also a fresh water lagoon at one end of the property. In addition there are cages of parrots and cockatoos scattered throughout the grounds.

There are 2 zero-entry freshwater pools. The 2 pools are divided by a stretch of sand that serves as the entryway to the beach area. We really loved the pool and beach area. Lots of room around the pool and what I believe is the longest stretch of hotel property along Palm Beach. There is never a shortage of chaise lounges

The lobby is a big open airy area with rich looking dark wood and trim- very understated. There is a Sundries shop and 2 other gift shops. There are 3 hotel towers- Aruba- 8 stories, Bonaire- 4 stories and Curacao- 6 stories. Rooms are decorated in West Indian furnishings with dark woods, yellow walls and even wood furniture on the balconies. Bathrooms were all marble. Rooms have telephones with voicemail, data port/computer hook-up, remote control, satellite TV, coffee maker, clock radio, hair dryer, bathrobe and in-room safe, mini-bar, iron and ironing board, down pillows and Evian.

We also really liked the beach side bar Gilligans. We thought the staff was exceptionally outstanding. Very professional, accommodating, and friendly-as they were throughout the property. Food prices here are average for any of the Aruban resorts of its caliber. The Laguna restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. There was a choice of outdoor or indoor dining and ala Carte or buffet breakfast. The dinner menu here included stir-fry, which is supposed to be very good and reasonable in price. Dinner at Sunset Grille is expensive, but worth every penny. We both love the food here. It is styled as seafood and grill (black Angus beef) with some outdoors seating.

Any questions, please feel free to e-mail me.
