Antigua in December
Can anyone please give me stats, information, or opinions on the climate in Antigua for December? We are planning our honeymoon at the Pineapple Beach resort for the second week of December, and were interested on what to expect and how to pack. For instance, is the weather still pleasant or should we bring pants and sweaters? Is the water cold and rough (we live on the east coast and are used to it that way) or can you still swim in it? Does it rain a lot in December? Are all activities still available, such as snorkeling, kayaking, etc.? Thank you for your help, we've never traveled anywhere in the Caribbean before.
Thank you!
Bridget =)

All of the information you need is on the official Antigua & Barbuda website:
www.interknowledge.com/antigua-barbuda

The weather in most of the Caribbean stays about 75 degrees year-round, so pack summer clothes. Since you will be there in high season, you might want to bring a dress and your husband some pants and a sport coat for dinner out.

My favorite restaurant was HOME near St. Johns. The food was wonderful!

We went to Antigua middle of Dec 98. Stayed at st James Club. Have been to Carribean alot but never at that time. It was great because the rates were down and we were traveling on the spur of the moment. I had always wanted to go to Antigua and frankly I was a little disappointed. St James club was supposed to be great but they had an unbelievably bad attitude. It was all inclusive. Frankly I'm glad it was because we rented a jeep 2 days and went out to explore. The worst roads in the Carribean and it looks like half the dt area was a crack den. We're boaters and it is a major yacht port so it was kind of cool to see all the huge mega yachts come in each day. WE snorkel and the water was choppy but still had decent visibility. We did have showers each day but only briefly. If you don't like the Carribean weather just wait 15 minutes. My husband is an avid scuba diver and thought the diving was interesting and decent. Overall impression...glad I saw it but would not go back. We did just return from 10 days in the BVI and rented a 42 ft trawler with another couple and captained it ourselves. A total riot!

THank you for your responses. Thanks for the website Christie. I will look at that. Molly, do you remember if it was humid or really hot, or just comfortable? We aren't big boating people, but we do enjoy the water. when you say it was choppy, was it dangerous? Was it still nice? Thank you again!
Bridget =)
