Another Honeymoon question

I'll tell you what we're looking for, can you suggest some places to go? We are seriously considering Turtle Island, Fiji but the plane ride is just SOOOO Long. We will be traveling the second week in May.

We want to RELAX. Just the beach. Do not care about sightseeing, shopping. Just eating, drinking, sun-bathing, reading.

We want a beautiful room. One that we will want to spend time in! Not a high-rise complex, more like a private villa.

We are ruling out Tahiti/Bora Bora because I hear it is getting too touristy and crowded.

I guess we are looking for isolation, but a place where food and beverage still abounds. Suggest away!

My suggestion would be to do a lot of research. If you want polynesia, this is not the right board. If you want the caribbean, there are lot's of places like you describe, but you'll have to narrow it down a little and research. You can do a lot of searches on the this board.

When we went to Anguilla, that's exactly the type of vacation we wanted and had.

try this website, www.runawayhill.com. Harbour Island is one of the most beautiful islands in the carribean, very laid back with a beautiful beach and several nice places for dinner, overlooking the water.

Everyone meets up in the evening to have a drink and watch the sun go down.

Have a great time wherever you choose to go.

I'm not sure I'd classify Bora Bora as 'too crowded', but there are certainly more secluded places.
Number of tourists per year:
Hawaiian islands: 6,500,000
Bahamas: 4,000,000
Jamaica: 2,250,000
U.S. Virgin Islands: 2,000,000
Cayman Islands: 460,000
Bermuda: 450,000
***Fiji***: 410,000
British Virgin Islands: 290,000
French Polynesia: 275,000
***Bora Bora***: 160,000
Anguilla: 45,000
Cook Islands: 33,000

If you're looking for someplace with fewer than 30,000 visitors per year you won't be able to find 'food and beverage which abound'.
For great privacy and quality, you might look at the websites for:
Parrot Cay, Turks/Caicos
Cotton House, Mustique
Pink Sands-Harbour Island, Bahamas
Little Palm Island-Little Torch Key, Florida
Jumby Bay, Antigua
