Anguilla + ?

We are going to Anguilla for the 4th time this winter and would like to take in another island on this trip. We like the laid back atmosphere, great food, great beaches, lack of obvious tourists and vendors hounding us...any suggestions for another place without a lot of tourists, local charm, local character, etc.? Any thoughts on Dominica?

Oops....looks like I don't want local charm and character...that's what we're looking for...

Hi Reenie - I'll second the St. Barths suggestion. We just went to Anguilla (first time) and St. Barths (fifth trip) in April and it was a wonderful trip. We like you, wanted a change so we decided on a few days in Anguilla before going on to St. Barths. St. Barths is not quite as laid back as Anguilla and it's a French island. It's also mountainous and around every bend is another absolutely beautiful view. Great restaurants, beautiful beaches....what else is there. Check it out.

Oops, I forgot to mention. Regarding character, I've never been to any Caribbean island that has as much (french) charm as St. Barths...it's just a very charming place. It's also very safe and there are no vendors whatsoever hassling you. Hope this helps!
