Is $434 good price for air to St. Thomas in summer from U.S.?

This sounds like a good fare if you are flying from anywhere except from NC, PA, FL. You should be able to get lower rates if you are flying from, say, Philly (US Air)

If you are talking about $434 per person, then it's a joke. Just got back from St. Thomas and paid $226 per person ROUND TRIP on American Airlines from JFK (New York). Booked it on Orbitz.com. Flew non-stop from NY to St.Thomas down and had a 25 minute layover in San Juan, PR on the way back.

I believe you. From Boston it's a little harder to get that fare since you have to make a stop in either NY, Philly, or San Juan.

To me that still seems good because for in October (low season) I am flying on Continental from Newark, NJ non-stop to St. Thomas and for 2 the total is $1060! Now I feel that I got robbed!

My wife and I are leaving Aug 2 and we paid $1,500 for two R/T fairs and 5 nights at the Renaissance Grand...

I think this is a good deal even though the same package for the Frenchmen's Reef was about $150 less.
