No need for any apology ! This often happens and it really adds interest to this board.
I had intended to respond to your inquiry as to my choice of Nevis.
I had actually booked a villa on Nevis for 5 weeks this past February, primarily because even in season, Nevis rates are lower than many other destinations.
After discovering one of Tiverton's properties in TB (Great Bay to be precise),in December, I cancelled Nevis and returned to your island ;-)
But I still had this non-refundable/non-transferrable ticket to Nevis, which would expire on 7/11/06. The timing, related to my daughter's wedding, seemed a perfect excuse not to lose more $ ;-) My financial logic is often in question....and it will always be so
As I said before, I love Nevis...but my heart will always be in Jamaica.
Continue to seek advice here about a good destination for yourself. There are many here (EJ is especially wise) who will be happy to help you !

I love Treasure Beach as well. It's a side of Jamaica that's so diferent to Mobay, Negril and Ochie.
One side of me wishes that more visitors could get to see this Jamaica. But then the other half selfishly wishes otherwise for fear they would spoil it!
I hope your visit to the doc's office tomorrow brings good news.

Loie,
We booked late and stayed at Nisbet in a Superior room for the first 2 nights - It was nice enough but we really prefered the Deluxe room and felt it was worth the extra $90 a night that we paid, however we wouldn't have paid the extra for the Premier rooms they didn't seem to get a lot of privacy. Type alya in the search bar at the top of the page and you will find my trip report that gives more details.
Marion - how wonderful and a good refection on your personality that while in pain you still have the energy and enthusiasm to enjoy Nibet.
Wasn't the food wonderful? Their chef is from the Phillipines but manages to create the most amazing dishes from all over the world - some people just have a way with food, I wish I did
Good luck with your appointment- fingers crossed

MarionCK: Thank you. Nevis sounds wonderful. I'm glad you enjoyed despite the back pains.
Love the 'Bush Whacker' drink. I must try that one day.
The food sounds like heaven. I'm a foodie and I especially love French food. I'm hungry now.
