30th Birthday Girls Trip

My best friend and I want to spend a long weekend (4 days) in the Caribbean but are not sure where to go.

We're looking for a high quality resort with great beaches - somewhat rustic feel - but close enough to a bit of a town for local restaurant and bar.

We've been focusing on Turks but there are so many direct flights to the Caribbean islands, we're thinking about looking at Antigua, and more.

Any recommendations of a beautiful & safe & fun (one or two beach bars & good restaurants)?

On Turks we've been looking to stay at Grace Bay and Parrot Cay so would like similar level of accommodation. However, if there's a hidden gem of a hotel (5 stars yet not 5 star price) we'd love to know about it!

Thank you in advance!

Turks & Caicos is fantastic and has become our fav...we have been to many islands and keep coming back here. The main tourist area is on Providencials (Provo for short, PLS airport code) There is now real town but many resorts line Grace Bay and you can walk to other resorts for dining options. Parrot Cay is on it's own Island and you have to add that leg to your trip ...must take a boat over) With only 4 days it may take too much of your time...plus you are limited to only eating/drinking at the resort, the resort is the only thing on the Island. Grace Bay club is nice but we love The Somerset. www.thesomerset.com Great location, beautiful suites and world class spa next door at The Palms ( stayed ther b4, prefer Somerset)
Antigua we loved but, prefer TCI..others will chime in !!

Thank you, Caribzach! Much appreciated!

I have been doing a bit more searching and now also thinking about the USVI. Would you still recommend Turks over USVI?

So many wonderful options is the Caribbean but personal recommendations are so helpful!

Thank you again!

We've been to St Thomas & St John , love both . St Thomas you would have more to do but, very americanized... Turks still better than those...

St. Martin itself has great beaches and nightlfe, and you wouldn't have to take the extra time to get to Anguilla. Fly into SXM on the Dutch side and you're there.
