2 fun, busy, professional single girls...

I need a suggestion on where 2 fun loving but conservative professional women can go on a caribean vacation, 4* resort, with beach activities, some nite life, etc. I was offered a special at the Royal Antiguan for $200 per person for the week. What to expect at a place like that? Would it be worth it? Or - somewhere like Aruba ?

That price is really hard to believe. I would steer clear of that place. I've been to Antigua, and it is a nice island;but I would choose Aruba, since you are 2 women traveling alone. I'm not saying Antigua is dangerous, but Aruba has a lot less crime and is much safer.

Jill...

we weere offered a similar deal, $99/pp for a whole week that was contingent on purchasing airfare, from all info I received this is NOT a hotel I where I would want to stay

as far as Aruba... GO!! it is a wonderful, safe island with fun and low key things to do

(know upfront that it is more of a desert than lush and by caribbean standards it is "americanized", altho I dont think that is all bad)... try the Hyatt!!! It is the most luxurious and beautiful resort hands down

Hi Jill , We love Antigua so much we invested in time share at Antigua Village for two weeks every winter.. The price you were quoted sounds to good to be true is it a summer rate ? I would suggest Antigua Village but it depends on your budget .. Its 15 minutes from town and the airport you can take advantage of the wonderful taxi service to go sightseeing or just around town this saves you $$ on car rentals .. The beach is rated #1 on the island Dickenson Bay and there is lots of activity .. Millers is down the road a Casino across the street .. If you decide to stay in Antigua let me know I can offer more tips on things to do and see..
Happy New Year Jill all the best ..

Dennis

LeSport in on St. Lucia. It's an all inclusive that includes 2 spa treatments per day in your price. I don't know what the pricing is currently, but would imagine that there are deals to be had! They have a sister property on Grenada called LaSource. I haven't been there, but hear it's nice but you only get 1 treatment per day. I prefer St. Lucia anyway plus they have great food and the staff are all really nice.

This is for Dennis, above. Dennis my husband and two boys and myself will be staying at a "sister" timeshare called Jolly Harbour Villas. We have never been before and would appreciate any info you have regarding snorkeling, restaraunts (med priced), car rentals, etc. The villas have a kitchen so we plan to pick up basic supplies for snacking, etc. but would like to take the boys out but not bust the bank! Also, what to do there for the boys - agest 10 and 12? Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks, d.
