10 Yr. Anniv.-Where to go?
In advance, thank you to all who respond! We are seeking advice on where to travel for our 10 yr. in early June. (been to the Cayman Is.and a bit of Mexico in years past). We are considering an Aruba-Bon Aires mix? We have nearly 2 weeks of time, love to scuba, deep sea fishing, enjoy adventures, beautiful beaches, fabulous food and some great night life... Looking to island hop as well given our stretch of time. Please help us Fodorites, I am banking on your feedback! Thanks again and again.

hi mare, i know little about aruba-curaco-bonnaire except that aruba appears to be kind of high rise/crowded. so can't help with those islands.
i would like to suggest that you consider barbados - st. vincent & grenadines as an option. barbados has fabulous food, great nightlife and tons to go do. st.v&g's have the adventure and scuba. both have good beaches and fishing. and easy flights between.

Aruba has fabulous food and beautiful beaches, Bonaire has the diving, and you could also take a side trip to Curacao and stay at the Kura Hulanda in town for their museum and a unique hotel experience. In Aruba I recommend staying at Bucuti if you want to feel like you're on a second honeymoon. It is not high rise, never feels crowded, and the beach is just incredible.

We are leaving next weekend for a week in Bonaire then 5 days in Aruba. Loved Aruba when there several years ago but I am afraid it has gotten built up a lot.
I'm really excited about Bonaire. People say diving and snorkeling is better than GC. Looks like there are fun things to explore also.
Some sites to check out about Bonaire:
www.bonairetalk.com (specifically http://www.bonairetalk.com/cgi-local....cgi?pg=topics
http://www.infobonaire.com/
Take a satellite view of Bonaire at http://earth.google.com/index.html
A large part of the island is a park which looks like a blast to explore.
