Who likes Werther's candy?
I must admit, I'm addicted to these hard candies.
If I buy them, I eat tons of them til they are gone. Two in my mouth at the same time..
No wonder I can't lose my 7 pounds.!!
Even when I'm really trying to stick to the diet and trying to lose the 7 pounds, I still allow myself 2 before bed.
ANyone else addicted to a sweet? ( A sweet, not a sweetie!)

Okay kodi, now you've really got me curious: what was the *right* forum for this post?
(Your question seems perfectly reasonable to me for any forum at all..and for what it's worth, although I'm sick of Werther's, having eaten too many of them, I have recently got hooked on their Riesen toffees.)

Vorkuta, I meant to post this thread on the FOdor's Lounge, where anything and everything is discussed that isn't travel related.
Have a look ...
I've had quite a few responses on there.
Traveller, I try to put on the brakes when I've gained 5 pounds but it's getting harder and harder as I get older!!

another vote for the sugar free - discovered them last year in France and they have now made it to Oz. Warning though - the artificial sweetener can have undesired effects for some digestive systems, best to leave the window open if you eat too many in the close confines of a car!

Yes we drove the in laws car home from Florida this year and they had a bag of sugar free on one side of the car and regular on the other. They really do taste the same. You cant eat too many though as I they always make your mouth hurt when you have too many!

Since you posted on the Canada site, there is a Canadian candy I like better than Werthers--Macintosh toffee. Whenever we go to Canada I buy a case and stretch it out as long as I can. My family knows they have to get my permission to have any!

Ok I really have to find the McIntosh toffee so I can freeze and smash it.
I bought some Werthers today and did see the ones with no sugar. BUt I just knew I'd be eating a lot of them, and I didn't want a sore mouth, so I bought the regular ones.
Vorkuta, funny that this thread is so popular. But good... maybe because of McIntosh toffee!!!

This thread made me go check our stash of sugar free candy (my husband is diabetic). I know I stocked up on the sugar free Werthers toffees in the States. (They are wrapped like toffees not the flat hard ones). I have not been able to find them in Canada but I bought these toffees in I believe Walmart in the States. If they aren't available in Canada maybe we should start our own trading - McIntosh for sugar free Werthers!!!!!!

Thanks Kodi. I will try there. It's great these days that there are so many more products for diabetics that actually taste good. Hurray for Splenda. We have a place in the Okanagan and the cherries are ready. So last night I made cherries jubilee with splenda and you really couldn't tell the difference. Of course the cognac didn't have anything to do with it!!
