Whistler - Restaurants

Hi,
Looking for recommendations for good restaurants in Whistler (casual or fancy; any price range). Just looking for "top" food.
Thanks!

The top food at Whistler is generally acknowledged to be found at Araxi in the main village or the Rimrock Cafe at Creekside (modern West Coast cuisine - fabulous); Val D'Isere or the Bearfoot Bistro in the main village(french); or the Edgewater Lodge which is just north of town. Monk's over at Blackcomb village is also very good.

There is a new place called Apres that is much more modern and hip than the others and is getting great reviews.

You should make reservations for any of the above in order to be safe.

All of these are top dollar as well as top food but other than the Bearfoot Bistro dining room they are all pretty casual in atmosphere and not dressy.

Great casual options are the Dublinh Gate (Irish pub fare)in the main village or Dusty's at Creekside for BBQ.

Hy's Steakhouse has exquisite atmosphere, steaks and wonderful seafood. We didn't discover it until the end of our last trip and were sorry we didn't find it the first night! Don't miss it on visits to Whistler.

Our favorite lunch spot is Dublinh Gate - wonderful menu and beer too!
