What's the best way to get from Victoria to Vancouver
I will be flying into Victoria for a couple of days and then going to Vancouver. What is the best way to get Victoria to Vancouver. We will not have a car. Should we take a taxi to the ferry and then another taxi? Should we take a bus to and from the ferry? Any suggestions? Thanks

'Best' of course is a very broad term. If you're talking about the most economical and convenient then it is to take the PCL bus from just behind the Empress Hotel in Victoria to the main bus depot in Downtown Vancouver. The fare includes the ferry trip and all in all takes around 3 hours each way.

The fastest way is by plane or hellicopter from Victoria Harbour to Vancouver harbour. The trip takes about half an hour and costs around triple the bus fare.

A taxi is expensive if you're taking it from the ferry terminal on the mainland to Vancouver. The main Tsawwassen ferry terminal is about a 40 minute drive from downtown Vancouver - more during rush hour. It could easily cost you $60 and up. I'd take the bus that Gary suggests, as it would take you into Vancouver.
