Me and my soon to be wife will be honeymooning in Toronto and it may possibly overlap with the Stanley Cup finals. We would both like to know where is the best place in Toronto to watch a hockey game?

and it depends on where you're staying....where are you staying?

We are staying at Allen Gardens B&B on Pembroke.

I believe there's a sports bar on Carlton Street near Yonge across from Maple Leaf Gardens. I don't remember the name of it and have no idea what's it like.

There's also a pub in College Park just a bit further east - they'll likely have the hockey game on.

But the other two places might be better spots to catch the games.

Really, if they're serving beer and have a tv - it'll likely have the hockey game on.

I figured it would not be too difficult to find the hockey game, I am looking for the best hoceky spot in Toronto. Thanks for your suggestions. I looked at the websites and both places look awesome.

The finals are wrapping up pretty quick with the way Detroit is playing. I was counting on game 5 but it maybe over on Satruday night, the day before I leave. We will see what happens over the next 4 days.

Noticed last night that Shoeless Joe's on King near Spadina is no longer open.

The Wheat Sheaf, which opened in 1849 so claims to be Toronto's oldest bar, is also on King West at Bathurst.

I don't quite 'get' the references to the Stanley Cup being over on Saturday...it's still 'best of seven', isn't it? This is game 4 coming up and the series is 2-1.

I am a Pittsburgh fan (well, OK, I am a Leaf fan, but, we all know how that annual pilgrimage ends!)Don't count Sidney and his youthful team out yet!
