vancouver/victoria aug or sept

Our choices for a trip appear to be aug 19-29th or sept 9-19th. pros or cons for either date?

thanks

I think you're more likely to have better weather with the Sept dates. Often times late August is rainy.

Also while tourism services will still be mostly open in Sept, you won't experience the same level of summer crowds, especially for ferry transit to Vancouver Island.

Enjoy-la!

I'd go with the September dates. Kids will be back in school.

Mid-September - we almost always have lovely fall weather at that time.

Where are you coming from?

Neither of the windows are undesirable but I would do September if ALL other things are equal for the reasons echoed by others.

Another Victorian chiming in on the September dates. The crowds disapear after the first Monday in Sep, but the weather is 'usually' drier on the coast than in Aug.
