Updated info on afternoon tea in Toronto

I've been scoping out activities for a 4 day trip to Toronto in July. I love doing tea. The newest post about tea in Toronto was over a year old. I'm wondering about the Four Seasons and a shop in the Beaches area on Queen. Can anyone give me the latest info?

I was in the room at the Four Seasons where afternoon tea is served, on Monday, but early in the day. It certainly is a nice spot.

After I photographed a Four Seasons guest in that room, chosen partly because of the nice light, we went upstairs for coffee, where serivcee, as usual, was perfect.

She is a world traveller, and said her stay at the Four Seasons was wonderful, if that helps you decide to go there for tea.

..I had tea recently at the four seasons..a lovely tiem with friends and close to bloor st and Yorkville shopping..the King Edward is nice but more downtown..the Beaches is farther away and if combined with a roam around the area would be fun...so depends on where you want to be..

Thanks BAK and travelbunny. We'll probably aim for the Four Seasons.

I have had good tea at the Four Seasons and the Windsor Arms, both in the Bloor/Yorkville area. But if you are looking for something less traditional my favorite place is the Red Tea Box on Queen Street West. They have great tea and fabulous bento boxes filled with unique and delicious things. This is also a great area to walk around, full of funky shops and art galleries.

The Meridien King Edward has a Sunday afternoon tea and trolley tour package.

I don't know the details, except I think the trolley tour starts at 2 and is followed by tea in the Cafe Victoria at 4.
