There is very little choice (I'm assuming you mean to travel from the city centre.) A bus runs from the airport but only a couple of times a day, in mid- to late afternoon ($3), and the reverse direction only in the morning. Otherwise take a taxi, at a fixed price from the airport I believe. Your hotel may know of alternatives such as a limo. http://www.quebecregion.com/en/airport-shuttle-services

I am coming in on a cruise and need to get to the airport as fast as I can as I have a close flight connection after checkout from the ship...how much are the taxi fare to the airport? How far are the ship docks from the airport anyway?

Here is a link to the airport pages. It suggests a flat rate of $34.25 between the city centre and the airport.

You will probably pay extra to be picked up at the ship, but it should be a moderate sum.
Here is the link to the cruise ship terminal.http://www.portquebec.ca/index.php?o...=55&lang=en_GR
It contains this useful Map:

Cruise ships dock in Le Vieux Port, on the riverbank rather than in the sheltered basin. You can see the area in box G4 on the map. Essentially you will be almost downtown, except for a sharp climb up the hill (a key to the battle long ago that won Canada for the English. But I digress.) From the cruise terminal, traffic will stick to the lower town to circle the walled city.
It should be easy to arrange for a taxi since there are lots of pedestrians in the area. Or perhaps your cruise line organizes an airport shuttle. That’s just a guess; I’ve never taken a cruise. Why not e-mail the company to ask?

thank you Southam..I will do my diligence...seems that Quebec isn't the transportation city I thought...but I imagine it can't be that hard to get a taxi from the ship terminals to the airport early in the morning.
thanks for all the references I will research more.
