Transit from Vancouver to Whistler

Any suggestions? Rental car one way each way? Shuttle?

I wouldn't need a car once there, with a fairly hefty parking fee at the resort there will be no need to rent for the week.

Will have a fair amount of ski/snowboard gear in tow as well.

Here is the website for the shuttle - probably your best bet

Oooo, those shuttle fees look more expensive then the rental car I was looking at, and the rental car affords more freedom.

We took a shuttle a few years ago and found there were two options, one much more expensive than the other. We took the cheaper one and it was just fine. I believe we had to go to a pre-determined pickup spot which was not an issue as we were renting our ski equipment that year. Sorry, i can't remember the name of the company, but maybe a search can turn up some options for you.

Renting a car is fine if you have free parking @ your accommodations-check carefully.

No free parking, but was looking at the one way rentals each way. Not a cheap way to do it, but still less expensive then renting for the week AND paying the parking fee ($20/day).

In addition to Perimenter Transportation (expensive), Greyhound also provides service Vancouver-Whistler.
Here are the options:

When I finally tried to rent one way each way...they were sold out on that option. I ended up renting for the entire week and paying the $20/night indoor parking at the lodge. It was nice to have the car though, especially on the trip out and back.
