Toronto: suburban hotels with good public transit

We are planning a road trip to Toronto and need a suburban hotel (hopefully free parking)with good public transit options. Either a bus to subway or subway with lots of parking so we could drive and drop the car. Would the airport be the best bet? How is transit to Vaughan? Thanks.

Stay at a hotel in Oakville and walk one block to a GO train into the city.http://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hotels...ok/hoteldetail
From Union Station, you can catch any subway line you need.

But if you want easier access to Vaughan AND downtown, try a hotel near Yorkdale, where the subway and bus terminals meet, to give you access south ( to downtown Toronto by subway) or north( to Vaughan) by bus.http://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hotels...ty/hoteldetail
