The Aspens - Whistler

I am planning a ski trip for a family of 4 this winter. Has anyone stayed at The Aspens on Blackcomb mountain. I rode by it on the chairlift earlier this summer but had no time to stop in. Any opinions about this place?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Beatrice - have you tried searching this site? I did a text search for "Aspens" and 10 messages were returned - I looked at several of them and they all seemed positive but give it a try and I think you'll find what you're looking for.

Thanks Elizabeth,
I tried a search, but after about 5 minutes nothing showed up so I gave up, I should have mentioned this in my original posting.
Thanks for your help, have you stayed there?
Bea

The search function has been crazy lately!

I've cobbled together several comments from the search I did - I'll cut and paste them here - didn't come across anything negative.

My husband and I like to stay at the ASPENS. It's a lovely
condo-hotel on Blackcomb. 2 hot tubs, swimming pool, with bike, skate and ski
rental on site. Suites are comfortable, well furnished and well located (next to
the Chateau Whistler.) Walk to everything including lake and beach. The rates
are reasonable, too.

We Stayed at The Aspens (a condo/hotel) after it was recommended
on this message board and really loved it. It is a building up from The Chateau
Whistler (the best hotel in town, in my opinion) The Aspens 1 bedroom may be
within your price range, It is right on Blackcomb slope. Within easy walking
distance of the lifts, the "beach" and the village. Excellent restaurants down the
slope. You will not need a car if you stay here. Website is
aspensonblackcomb.com. Request a end suite on the slopes

A very nice place to stay with children is a condo/hotel called The
Aspens. 1 and 2 bedroom slopeside suites, it's the building up from Chateau
Whistler. Has a heated pool and 2 hot tubs. The Whistler childrens' area is a 2
minute walk from this condo and the area can be seen from some suites (sit on
your balcony and watch kids play) The beach/lake is a 10 minute walk as is the
village.

On Blackcomb we have stayed at the Aspens. 1 and 2 bedroom lovely
condos, overlookig slope with pool, 2 hot tubs, exercise room,(not needed in
Whistler) and (bike, skate etc.) rentals in building.
www.aspensonblackcomb.com We really like this condo for both winter and
summer. Stay there every year.
